If you think you may have the symptoms of swine flu you should:

Should you get vaccinated against swine flu?
The swine flu vaccination is currently available for the following people. If you have received a letter from your doctor (GP) it is because you should have the swine flu vaccine. We have included some information on the vaccine in our ADVICE section. You can also find out about vaccination in our new easy read leaflet....
The swine flu vaccine is for people aged six months and over:
• with an ongoing health condition such as; asthma, chronic heart disease, chronic renal disease, illnesses of the nervous system and diabetes; or
• whose immune systems are not working properly due to disease or treatment such as cancer treatment, HIV positive people and people who have had treatment with steroids for a prolonged amount of time; or
• who are pregnant; or
• who live with individuals whose immune systems are not working properly.
If you usually have the seasonal flu vaccine you should have this aswell.
The swine flu vaccine is also being made available for all children aged six months to five years old. We are currently making plans for how children in Leeds can get the vaccine and will include the information on this website.
We have tried to include as much information as possible on the site but if you feel there is anything missing please contact us through our Facebook group at www.facebook.com/nhs.leeds or by emailing communications.team@nhsleeds.nhs.uk
